MVP CHECKING CAMPAIGN

After winning the National Championship in 2023 and being named MVP, UMCU highlighted our partnership with Will Johnson through a special promotion.

Campaign Goals: To showcase UMCU debit cards featuring the iconic Block M® and football helmet designs, this two-part campaign encouraged new account openings. Members who opened an MVP Checking account and set up direct deposit became eligible for the Intercept Your Debt Visa® Balance Transfer promotion.

Campaign Assets: Emails, in-branch and event signage, paid social media, paid media

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to define campaign goals and objectives.

  • Develop compelling design concepts that align with the campaign’s vision.

  • Incorporate feedback from the marketing and lending teams to refine materials.

  • Collaborate with UMCU’s writer and digital marketing manager to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

  • Manage the sourcing, printing, and distribution of campaign assets to vendors.

Campaign Success: In June 2024, the Intercept Your Debt emails yielded a 73.6% open rate.
